The Address Management window
feature simplifies the storage of address information for customers and suppliers. The cashbook file maintains a list of countries (which you may add to or alter), and an address format with which the address is to
associated. This format is used to combine the address elements into a proper mailing address, for use in printouts etc.
The power of the system is that users may now enter all of the data into the correct fields, and the program will work out how to construct the proper address.
Adding
A Country
To add a country to the list, click the New button. A window
will appear, into which you can type the new country. After
accepting the name of the new country you will be returned to the Address
Management window. You should now decide which address format
the country you have just entered should use. Simply find the
country in the list, and type the format number in the Format
column.
Deleting
A Country
You may delete a country by clicking on its line in the list, and
then clicking the Delete button. Note that you may not delete
a country if it is currently in use anywhere in the cashbook file.
Changing
Country Details
You may change both the name and the address format of any country,
at any time. However, this change will affect anything in the
cashbook which is directly linked to the country, such as the
country in the Company Details information.
